White Sauce (Yogurt Base) (Need Image)

I’ll add an image of the finished product when I actually make it again. The title’s just a reminder to me. Recipe below.

An attempt to have a ‘healthier’ white sauce for pasta. It works well enough, but I still need to figure out how to fix the bits of grain from the yogurt (I presume.)

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder OR garlic mince
  • 0.5 cup milk (2% or whole)
  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Cooking Steps

  1. Add ingredients except cheese to medium saucepan
  2. Set heat to medium, stir occasionally
  3. Once the sauce is hot (but NOT simmering), add the cheese
  4. Turn heat off, mix until blended. If you need more heat, turn the heat on but no higher than low
  5. Serve, or let cool and store
